Growing up in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Johnnie Swain III always had dreams of having his own farm. But somehow, after graduating from college, he ended up in the big city - working in Chicago at an advertising agency. However, that all changed a few years later, in 2011, after the tragic losses of several family members and friends. Johnnie learned that “life is too short” and he decided that it was the right time to take his dream and make it a reality.
In 2013, Johnnie purchased raw land in Patterson, GA. Today, it’s a vibrant blueberry farm. In 2016 after working over 15 years in marketing, advertising and brand management, Johnnie and the family begin to manage the farm full-time. Along the way, they also began to market blueberries, blackberries, pecans and satsuma oranges for other high quality growers.
